Hey there 👋,
Welcome to the blog income report of August 2021, where I made over $6606 off of this blog.
And in this blog post, I’m going to explain in detail how I did it and, most importantly, why there hasn’t been an income report since March up until now.
I know how many of you contacted me about the income reports lately (or lack thereof), and this is where you’ll get your answers.
The primary reason for NOT publishing income reports (or any other article in general) on Prosmartrepreneur.com is that I’ve been quite busy designing and creating content for my new blog, which I’ve mentioned in the previous income reports.
My new blog SayanNeogie.com (did a little personal branding on this one 😁), is all about personal development and self-growth, which are the topics that I’m super interested in other than personal finance.
And since I’m still learning about personal development and growth, which makes me “not an expert”, the way that I create content for sayanneogie.com is exciting.
Firstly, I look for traits and qualities I need in my life, such as being producing, eating healthy, etc, then I research and implement them myself over the course of time, and then I create content about my experiences and what I’ve learned.
This way, I can build good habits and quality content (that I can monetize eventually) at the same time.
Starting a personal development blog on the side was something I’ve wanted for quite a while now, and I’ve invested these months in finally implementing that plan. And I think it looks really good.
On the other hand, while developing and creating content for my new blog, this very blog was not on my mind for a while, and no new content was posted as well as no effort was made to increase blog traffic.
This is why there is a slight decrease in overall traffic and income numbers for this month.
But also, since I literally did not put any effort whatsoever, you can say that I’ve made $6606 without even putting a second of work on this blog for the month of August (and all the other months after March, which were around $6k to $8k in earnings each month).

Why do I publish my blog income reports?
The income reports are a self-documented report of my blogging journey so far, the monthly progress of a brand new blogger, an inexperienced college student who just wanted to build a full-time income stream.
And thus, I wanted to share all that it took me to make this happen. But will it help or harm me?
Nobody wants to share something that is so personal and potentially vulnerable to their competitors just to show off.
Also, at times it feels weird knowing that my family and friends can just know precisely how much I made in a particular month with just a Google search.
But it’s a trade-off that I’ve accepted for the other benefits that it brings.
These kinds of “inside peek” blog posts often come with some surprising benefits.
For example, I’m publishing these income reports for two primary reasons:
- To motivate you
- To motivate me
Let me explain…
1. It motivates people to start something for themselves
It’s no secret that people are largely motivated by results!
Does a tiring workout ever inspire you? Probably not, you are inspired to have a well-shaped body which is the end result, and thus you work out.
It’s not the process that gets people moving but the euphoric feeling to have achieved the end goal that motivated them to start in the first place.
Hence, I share my results to motivate people who are on the fence.
And if, after seeing my results, you do decide to start your own blog, I’ll say this article served its purpose well.
As I already mentioned before, my first impression of this whole blogging industry was through an income report of a wildly successful blogger who had 6-figures in her monthly income reports.
And that was enough to start my very own blog.
Witnessing someone make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a month working for nobody but themselves really gave me a strong dose of motivation.
I wanted those results and the financial freedom that comes with them.
By giving you the inside scoop on what a blog really makes (which is usually kept hidden), by giving you those exact income digits, it’ll show you what is really possible and hopefully motivate you enough to start your own blog.
2. It motivates me NOT to get comfortable
Publishing my progress and the journey online for people to read also benefits me in specific ways.
Sure, I make a little ad income every time people read through an article like this, but that’s not the most valuable thing I’m acquiring here.
When I have a like-minded community that monitors and analyses my progress over time, it makes me do things more sincerely and responsibly. And this makes me want to give my 110% in everything I do on this blog.
In short, It keeps me in check when it comes to slacking off.
Moreover, it will help me to keep track of the blog like a well-sorted document and how far the blog has come in terms of growth, both readers and income.
Now let’s jump right into the income breakdown of August 2021.
The Income Breakdown: $6606

Net Profit: ($6606 – $147) $6459
I know that this month’s earnings aren’t as good as it has been for the previous months, but you should know that in business, growth isn’t always positive.
Fluctuations are a part of it whether you like it or not. And this is exactly what it is, fluctuation!
I don’t believe I’m going downhill or my growth is declining as of now.
It just so happened to be a slow month, and also my attention and energy were focused entirely on building up my second blog. And as I already mentioned before, this blog was a little neglected for a few months.
But as I already said, this $6459 is pure profit with no extra work input whatsoever.
Also, at the end of April 2021, my Pinterest account (which drives around 65% of my overall traffic) got suspended with no warning whatsoever.
My worst nightmare!!!
I always dreaded the fact of what happens if my Pinterest traffic gets knocked out for some reason because a lot of the creators were complaining about their account getting suspended or even permanently closed.
But to actually experience it myself is something I had never thought I have to.
It was also very frustrating because I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary that I’d been doing for a year and a half.
I contacted Pinterest support to no avail and got the same automated “we’ll get back to you” responses over and over.
After several emails and appeal requests, I got my account back after 7 days. Problem solved, right?
Not quite!
Before it got suspended, I had around 4.7 Million monthly views for my Pinterest account. After, it was hanging around 2.5 Million monthly views.
But still, I am grateful for Pinterest here because even though I couldn’t pin new pins or even access my account in general, old pins that I’ve pinned till that point were bringing in consistent traffic to my blog. It was making me money on autopilot.
Which is weirdly unique!
So I’m kinda mad at Pinterest but also not at the same time, you know!
Income Proof:
1. Mediavine
2. Bluehost
Traffic stats:
97,806 Pageviews (+12.00% since July 2021)
82,382 Sessions (+11.82% since July 2021)
Clearly, there was a slight increase in blog traffic compared to last month, but still was under 100k.
Blog Updates:
No major updates yet, but I’m resuming posting new content on this blog. And there will be more cornerstone pieces of content published in the coming months, which will be featured on the homepages of this blog.
That’ll be it, folks!
Thank you so much for reading; if you’re able to reach the end of this page, thank you so much for taking the time of your day.
And most importantly, thank you for having patience when I wasn’t active, and I swear from this point on, I’ll make sure to publish blog income reports within the first two days of the starting month every single time.
And if you want to start your own blog within 10 minutes and build an income source that somehow makes you bank even when you’re away for a few months 😁 as it does for me, head over to this step-by-step guide to starting your very own blog.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or something you want to let me know, feel free to comment and I’ll get back to you.
